Contributors to Doody's Core Titles (DCT)

One of the hallmarks of Doody's Core Titles is the number of individuals who have contributed to its development - health science librarians, content specialists, the medical book distributors, and the staff of Doody Enterprises, Inc. Because of the cumulative efforts of over 200 individuals, we are able to produce a reliable, annual list of core titles in just over two months.

Licensees

Many of the librarians who benefit daily from the rich information that comprises each annual edition of DCT access it through any one of our DCT licensees. A handful of distributors and industry partners license DCT data annually to integrate into their own services and products aimed at health sciences librarians. It is through these partners that DCT has secured a global reputation as the premier collection development tool in the health sciences.

EBSCO

Each year, EBSCO builds a Featured Collection of ebooks using Doody’s Core Titles. They also use the Essential Purchase Titles list to create unique Subject Sets. Check them out here.

GOBI

GOBI Library Solutions uses Doody’s Core Titles and Essential Purchases Titles lists to create curated ebook and print book Spotlight Lists that help librarians easily find and order titles in the format they prefer. Check them out here.

OCLC

OCLC integrates Doody’s Core Titles data into its WorldShare Collection Evaluation tool that allows librarians to compare their collections with authoritative lists. Check them out here.

Ovid

Each year, Ovid creates book collections using Doody’s Core Titles and Essential Purchase Titles lists. These collections include Wolter Kluwer titles in addition to non-WKH titles as well as Premium star collections that allow users more add-on options. Check them out here.

STAT!Ref (TDS Health)
